Freelance PR and New Media Consultant

During 11 years in the UK technology media scene I have worked alongside some of the biggest names in IT, such as Xerox, AMD, ntl:Telewest Business and Marconi, as well as raised the profile for a number of smaller firms and start-ups. As a journalist I wrote for IT Week magazine (now folded), Computing, Computer Reseller News (UK) and VNUNet. I also write and podcast for New Media Knowledge and in November 2009 I established RunMarketing.co.uk, a site dedicated to helping small companies and start-ups do their own PR, plus help other marketing professionals to plug knowledge gaps.

As well as ‘traditional PR’, it is essential for organisations to run successful Internet marketing programmes as well, something I am aptly placed to consult on. While a director at Rainier PR (now Speed Communications) I helped maintain the firm at the top of search engine rankings for three years and collected the ‘Best Business Blog 2007’ award from the British Association of Communicators in Business (CiB), as well as a number of other industry honours. You can listen to my digital marketing and PR best practice podcasts here.

I am an associate at boutique tech agency Hatch PR and consumer PR consultancy FIRE, and also a copywriter for SEO copywriting specialist Wordsauce Creative. I hold a degree in European Studies from Coventry University and a diploma in Spanish language and culture from the Autonomous University of Madrid.
